After detailed safety instructions you will hike through primary rainforest in this 1200 acre nature preserve to reach the first platform. After 3 practice zip lines over pristine jungle, you will zoom over two waterfalls 300 feet above the ground. This really is a safe adrenaline rush! There are a total of 10 zip lines; the longest is nearly 1 kilometer. Fishing Lake Arenal
| The English speaking captain of this stable, fully equipped, pontoon boat knows all the secrets of fishing in this 20 mile long lake with an unbeatable view of the Arenal Volcano. Two of the commonly caught fish are similar to Large Mouth Bass, with a mild taste and they are delicious. Whitewater Rafting or Kayaking | If you are ready for exhilarating fun consider a whitewater rafting trip. You will be holding on and paddling your day away as you roar through lush canyons and sneak under waterfalls traveling through large expanses of tropical rainforest. We can arrange rafting, Duckie (single or double man rubber kayaks) or kayaking tips to area rivers. Cowboy for a Day
| Your day starts early as you drive up to the ranching community of Upala. Saddle up your horses and help with the ranching chores. Chores include moving cattle into a corral for care and inspection then moving them back to a new pasture. After lunch work with cattle again or take a beautiful ride along the Zapote River. Cerro Chato Trek | Cerro Chato is Arenal’s dormant neighbor. On this tour you will have the opportunity to hike to the rim of the Cerro Chato crater, now a lagoon. This crater is at an elevation of 1,400 meters (4,594 ft.). Rio Celeste | A wonderful tour to one of the most magical places in Costa Rica! Witness the junction of two rivers becoming one and due to a chemical reaction, turn the water incredibly blue. The hike along the river reveals spots where sulfurous gases bubble up, making this blue river look like it is boiling, take a dip in the blue lagoon, a deep swimming hole with hot springs in the river, and then gaze upon the majestic blue Rio Celeste Waterfall. Tico Farm or Mini Lunch Tour: $20/pp | Starting from Leaves and Lizard our guide will lead you over a picturesque mountain ridge with incredible views of the Arenal Volcano and surrounding mountain range to a typical Tico dairy farm. Private Sunset/Night hike to Arenal National Park | Visit the Arenal Volcano the way it is meant to be experienced! Start your trek at sunset, after an easy 20 minute hike you will sit at the base of this active volcano. Hear the lava boulders roll down the steep sides and as the sun sets the glow firey red! On this tour of discovery you will learn about the Arenal Volcano from our knowledgeable guide. This easy rainforest hike takes you through primary rainforest to an old lava flow at the base of the volcano. Horseback Riding or 4X4 Ride to Private Waterfall |
Ride our horses from Leaves and Lizards to our nearby waterfall.Your private guides will point out the flora and fauna along the way. You may encounter poisen dart frogs, toucans, monkeys and sloths while riding though pasture and rain forest. Then hike for 20 minutes through pristine primary rain forest to our private jewel hidden in this jungle canyon. Enjoy a refreshing swim below the falls, relax for a while and listen to the jungle.
*For non-horseback riders travel by car for 35 minutes to the trail head and hide for 20 minutes to the falls. | Allow 4-6 hours for this adventure. |

Eco Termales Hot Springs | Eco Termales Hot Springs is a sancturay. This secluded property has been the life work of the Hidalgo family. The smallest of the Arenal area hot springs, Eco Termales is geared toward privacy and relaxation and does not accept more than 100 visitors at a time. Reservations are required. the 4 pools vary in temperature, the coolest one is 91F degrees and the hottest one is 105 F degrees. | Half Day Advance reservation required.
