Our host family welcomes your group into their home to spend the day. Learn to milk a cow, make cheese, help with chores and prepare typical Costa Rican foods.
See and learn about many types of farm animals and how to produce food organically. Throw a line into the tilapia pond and catch your lunch. Our professional natualist guide will translate for non-Spanish speaking guests.

VENADO CAVERNS
If wading in an underground river, spying strange blind crickets, frogs and spiders while bats flutter above your head sounds fun, then this is the tour for you! The Venado Caverns extend for about 2 miles along an underground river, displaying, fossils, stalagmites and stalactites in fascinating formations.

PRIMARY FOREST HIKE
Discover plants and animals of the primary rainforest. White-faced, Spider and Howler Monkeys live in this forest that is overshadowed by Arenal. Numerous birds and other animals are frequently seen in this nearby forest.

HOT AIR BALLOON
Costa Rica provides unquestionably the most fascinating ballooning in the world - low and slow drifing, over rainforests or mountain villages, caressing the tops of giant trees, dipping into white water rivers or chasing monkeys in the tree-tops. With the right climactic conditions, you may find yourself ascending to watch the awesome Arenal volcano erupting above its halo of clouds-from a safe distance of course.

Jungle River Safari Boat and Kayak Tours
Float along a jungle shrouded river, spotting monkeys, tropical birds, reptiles and other flora and fauna of the rain forest. We offer a private raft float trip or a pontoon boat trip on the Rio Frio in the Cano Negro area. For birders, this is 'must do' tour!

Tortuguero National Park
